Family of Caring Healthcare System organizes Food Drive to support local food pantries

 Family of Caring Health Care System is organizing a food drive to support our local food pantry.  Dry goods, can goods and grocery store gift certificates can be dropped off from November 9th through November 20th at either of our two locations; Dellridge Health & Rehabilitation Center located at 532 Farview Ave in Paramus or Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center located at 555 Chestnut Ridge Rd in Woodcliff Lake.

Zumba Gold exercise program being offered at Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation starting November 9th, 2009

 At Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation, we know the importance of regular exercise.  We also know that if an exercise program is boring you are not likely to stick to it. Zumba Gold is a different kind of exercise program, geared to the fitness level of seniors and sedentary adults.  Zumba Gold is an aerobic exercise program which uses basic steps of a variety of Latin Dance.  If you love to dance this may be the exercise program for you!

 There is no cost for this 6 week program taught by certified instructor, Milena Gralow. The classes will be held on Mondays from 11:30am to 12:15pm at Woodcliff Lake Health Rehabilitation Center located at 555 Chestnut Ridge Road, Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677. Eldercare Educators to Speak at Dellridge Health & Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, November 10th

 A panel of eldercare experts is offering free lectures to help people navigate through the maze of services geared towards aging.   Four healthcare professionals from various backgrounds have teamed together to offer their services so that people can better understand the choices available to them as they age. 

 With over 50 years of combined experience in independent living, assisted living, home care, nursing home and sub-acute care in both the public and private sectors, as well as financial planning expertise, the Eldercare Educators are able to bring you the latest information on finding the best and most appropriate resources to plan for the future and to overcome today’s challenges.  Their seminars will help you answer questions ranging from “How do I know what services are available and how can I access them?” to “What is the difference in housing options for seniors?” to “What are the government benefits available for eldercare?” 

This free community service is offered in Bergen and Rockland Counties.  Call Eldercare Educators at 888-ECE-7760 to arrange for them to speak to your group or to register for their free seminar on Tuesday November 10th at 6:30 PM at Dellridge Health and Rehabilitation Center located at 532 Farview Ave, Paramus NJ

 Adult Lecture Program offered at Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation “Coming to New Jersey: Immigration & the Garden State” presented by the Morris Museum

 Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center is hosting the Morris Museum Adult Outreach Program.  The presentation topic is “Coming to NJ: Immigration and the Garden State”.  This program is an exploration of the diverse cultures that have contributed to New Jersey’s history. Whether their reasons for coming were religious, political or economic, New Jersey’s history is full of the stories of everyday men and women.  This free program is being held on Wednesday, November 11th at 3:30pm. Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation center is located at 555 Chestnut Ridge Road, Woodcliff Lake, NJ.Space is limited so register early (201) 391-0900
